Yep, within 24 hours of binding his soul to Ascendance's third orange, Mike snagged himself [Right Half of Massive DKP Hemorrhaging]:



Here's the math cheatsheet for you warriors out there: Yes, that's 1+1=TWO legendaries for Mikey. And that'll be Ascendance's FIFTH (after Shar's Thunderfury). Doesn't math bite? Something about it is sure making casters weep, lately. =(

So, Nefarian is dead.  Day after a server-first ...........

...........      Chrom kill too.  Both on second attempt of the timer.  Was going to be our last attempt, too, due to the holiday.

All on Ascendance's first (retail) anniversary!  A Thanksgiving to remember.

So, anyway, it's been a year!

Thanks to all of those who have farmed and researched and debated and logged in over the last twelve months.  Thanks for the kills and the screenshots.  The dumb emotes.  The smart comments.  The new stars; the old vets.  Kicked puppies.  Thanks for having fun doing nothing and having fun doing it all.  Special thanks to those who helped so much to get Nef down but couldn't log in tonight for the kill.  Huge thanks to Vaelastrasz for making the rest of the universe seem that much brighter.  Thanks to Blizz for amazing potential.  Thanks to Mom, who wouldn't understand.  Thanks to our fellow raiding guilds, who do.  (And who have been exceptionally cool.)

One shot, one kill!  BWL cleared up to Nef without a wipe.

First: /boggle



Ascendance is now working on its third Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros.  Which means that we're now working on two legendaries simultaneously. There goes Cookie Theory One.

Grats to Mike on the start of his new p4nc4k3 sL1z0r!

(Essence of the Firelord dropped for Shar's Thunderfury at the same time. Two orange drops from one mob = ... well, Theory 3 looking shaky...)

Next we got in a couple runs on Nefarius, until he borked. Apparently Blizz has decided that Red is the new Green.

Then we got word!

Word: "TROUBLE IN DUSKWOOD!"
Us: "Word!"

We mounted back up and stormed the Forest of Insufficient Light.

And won! Woot?



Much rejoicing was heard from a half-dozen nearby alts. (Is anybody below 30 on this server NOT an alt, any more?)

Actually, we had a fun fight with Ysondre.



And by fun, I mean successfully practiced a little population control on the green dragonflight.



And by successfully, I mean, practically free loot. The sleep debuff was kind of appropriate for that fight.

A big sticky <3 to Blizz for an encounter in which we get to beat the dirt out of waves of druids.
